Biography

Judith (De Bourdeaux) Robert was a Huguenot emigrant (1540-1790).

Judith was the daughter of Jacques De Bourdeaux and Madelaine Garillond, French Huguenots of Grenoble, France. She was born in Grenoble and left there after 1685 with her parents for England, where they were living in 1687.[1]. The family arrived in the Province of Carolina sometime before 1695.[2]

Judith married Pierre (Peter) Robert as his second wife sometime before 1710. They had children Jacques (James), Magdalen (m. __Hamilton and William Gough), and Elizabeth (m. Elias Jaudon) before Pierre's death in 1739, at which time she was still living. [3]
